The MCD 100 soft starters are designed for soft startingand stopping of 3 phase a.c. motors, thus reducingthe inrush current and eliminating the damagingeffects of high starting torque surges.The digitally controlled soft starter featuresaccurate settings and easy installation. Thecontroller has individually adjustable accelerationand deceleration times.Thanks to the adjustable initial torque and the uniquebreakaway (kick start) function the soft starter canbe optimized for almost any application.The MCD 100 soft starters are typically used onmotor applications where a smooth stat and/orstop is advantageous, such as conveyors, fans,pumps, compressors and high inertia loads.MCD 100 soft starters are also obvious asreplacement for star/delta starters.
